Why This Self-Guided Tour?
Most motorcycle itineraries either assume you have over ten days to explore Norway or take you from one tourist attraction to the next along the shortest — but often less scenic — roads. Others are incredibly scenic but rely on high-altitude passes that are closed by snow for most of the year.
That’s why we created The Southern Quest — a self-guided tour designed to be ridden by anyone, from early Spring to late Fall, in just a couple of days. It connects the best lower-altitude roads of Southern Norway via hidden backroads — favorites of local motorcyclists — to make every mile count. Along the way, it immerses you in a quest through local travel history and culture, allowing you to connect with Norway in a deeper, more meaningful way.
